ARC Architects, founded in 1976, has a staff of 18 architects, designers and planners. ARC is a privately held company. The three Principals—Dave Rutherford, Stan Lokting, and Rex Bond—are actively involved on every project from early visioning sessions to design, construction and occupancy. Our team is comprised of highly skilled individuals, each with a passion for creating stimulating spaces that invigorate the user experience.

ARC’s project portfolio is comprised of work with public and private clients, each with a responsibility to the community and context in which they are located. Our community centers, city halls, libraries and senior centers are a response to a diligent study of department adjacencies and relationships, and comprehensive public involvement processes. For private sector work—single and multi-family residences, healthcare, biotechnology, and office buildings—our challenge is to design efficient and timeless environments that meet the needs of our clients.

We pride ourselves in making careful and prudent budget choices and consider a host of design alternatives tailored to each project’s unique priorities. We seek to discover the poetry in design, while working to create efficient, flexible and innovative spaces.

We are committed to environmentally responsible design. More than 80 percent of ARC’s staff is LEED® Accredited by the US Green Building Council. We believe that buildings are a community investment and must provide healthy places for people to work, play and learn. They must be affordable to operate just as they must be affordable to build.
