Stuart Silk Architects
For over 25 years, Stuart Silk Architects has specialized in exceptional residential architecture for new homes, renovations, and historical restorations. Our homes are recognized nationally and internationally for their design excellence and have been published in such prestigious publications as Architectural Digest, Traditional Home, Metropolitan Home, and Seattle Homes and Lifestyles. Our experience and commitment to the creation of timeless multi-generational homes bring long term value through improved functionality, timeless design, high-quality detailing, and proven construction techniques. We are committed to sustainability and green building practices to protect the environment. As a mid-sized firm, we are large enough to manage sizable projects yet small enough to provide personalized service. The creation of enduring architecture springs from passion and curiosity. Truly exceptional homes originate from our clients' visions and are as varied as each individual. Our designs are also guided by the character, texture, and rhythms of the surrounding landscape, whether the location is a secluded hillside or an urban neighborhood. Our balanced interiors offer calming sanctuaries from the rigors of everyday life. www.stuartsilk.com/residential.
In 2007, Stuart Silk Architects opened a dedicated commercial studio to meet the design needs of its commercial clients and to bring a fresh vision to commercial projects. We have a reputation for creating distinctive projects that are well-managed, detailed, resourcefully functional, and at the same time aesthetically pleasing. We encourage the practice of green architecture not only for the environment but also for the long-term cost benefits that can be realized by our clients. We work in partnership with exceptional builders and contractors and supervise each project so each building’s unique design is reflected in the final product. We seek to raise the standard of the quality and sustainability of architecture in the Pacific Northwest. Currently, we are transforming an industrial area in Seattle’s Salmon Bay area by designing three office buildings that will redefine both the beauty and utility of creative commercial architecture. Salmon Bay Landing, an office condominium, was completed in November 2008 and takes advantage of incredible water views. See more at www.stuartsilk.com/commercial.
