Why Are Manhole Covers Round?
We don’t claim this reference as our own, but it’s long served as a quiet emblem of our approach to design. 

Manhole covers are simple, everyday pieces of infrastructure. Their design is defined entirely by purpose: the round shape prevents them from falling through the opening; their cast reliefs provide slip resistance; their weight discourages theft. These covers are strong, utilitarian, and enduring—often forged by local foundries, with subtle details that reflect human hands and craft. Over time, they weather and wear, but rarely fail. They do their job with dignity.
